Dr. Christopher Seese, DMD began his studies at Washington and Jefferson College. He later obtained his doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Seese completed a General Practice Residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. When he is not helping patients, Dr. Seese prioritizes spending time with his family and raising his three beautiful children in our Lord, Jesus Christ. He enjoys learning more about God’s Word, being outdoors, camping, and a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Seese has completed a two-year hands-on continuing education curriculum on Complete Dentistry through The Dawson Academy. The program focuses on joint health, masticatory function and restoration of the dentition. With this training, Dr. Seese is able to treat more complex joint problems, worn teeth, bite problems and advanced reconstruction. Dr. Seese is committed to advancing his education to better serve his Morgantown community.

Services

Willow Tree Dental offers a variety of services in Morgantown, West Virginia. Whether you need general dentistry services which could include routine cleanings, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry or emergency dental care, our skilled team can do it all. Our dentist has 20 years of experience.

Preventive Care

Practicing good oral hygiene at home combined with routine dental check-ups and cleanings are necessary for good oral and overall health. Without proper dental exams, teeth cleanings, and other preventive care, you can easily fall victim to cavities, gum disease, and other painful consequences. A small dental problem left undetected can quickly progress to a much larger and more extensive issue. Willow Tree Dental offers preventive care for patients of all ages to keep their smiles happy and healthy. Some of our preventive care services include:

  • Dental Exams – Routine, Emergency, TMJ/TMD
  • Teeth Cleaning – Routine 6-month cleanings, Gingival Cleanings, Scaling & Root Planing (Deep Cleaning Therapy)
  • Dental Sealants - Children between 6 and 14 can benefit from sealants.
  • Gum Disease – Scaling & Root Planing. Your teeth help to heal infected gums and can prevent any infection from spreading or worsening.

Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry

The health, beauty and function of your smile are not mutually exclusive. Common dental problems include missing, broken, discolored, decayed and worn teeth. When these teeth are restored to their proper position, size, form and function the natural cosmetic beauty of your smile comes through. Form follows function. Our restorative and cosmetic services include but are not limited to:

  • Teeth Whitening - GLO Whitening
  • Invisalign® - Having straight teeth is important for both health and appearance.
  • Veneers - For patients looking to restore uneven, discolored, or damaged teeth.
  • Fillings & Restorations - Composite fillings to fill teeth after removing a cavity or filling a crack in the tooth.
  • Tooth Extractions - Tooth extractions are necessary for many reasons, including tooth decay, damage, infection, and crowding.
  • Root Canals - Removes bacteria from an infected tooth
  • Restoration of Dental Implants – A permanent, attached false teeth that can replace a single tooth, fixed bridges, partial or complete dentures following tooth loss.
  • Bridges - A permanent appliance that is held in place by at least two anchoring teeth, to replace missing teeth.
  • Dentures / Partials – Removable appliance used to replace missing teeth.
  • Crowns - If you have a broken tooth, a root canal, or a large or broken filling, a crown may be best for you.

Implant Dentistry

Dental implants are artificial anchors that mimic tooth roots. They can be used to replace single teeth or an entire arch of teeth. Ask how dental implants can help restore your oral health today.

  • Single tooth implant crowns - An implant abutment and single crown are used to replace one missing tooth.
  • Implant supported dental bridge - Like a traditional bridge, two abutments or supports on each end of the space are used to anchor a fixed bridge replacing multiple teeth.
  • Full and partial denture stabilization - Two or more implants are used to secure a partial or full denture in place. The denture clips to the implants holding it snuggly, but is able to be removed for proper cleaning and maintenance.
  • Full arch tooth replacement - Four or more implants per arch are required to replace a complete top or bottom set of teeth. These appliances are screwed into the implants and function very closely to your natural teeth.

TMJ / TMD

The temporomandibular joints, commonly called TMJ, cause pain for many patients. Temporomandibular disorder (TMD), a term used interchangeably with TMJ, can cover a range of problems, simple to complex. These disorders can come from a variety of causes, including arthritis, jaw injuries, joint damage, teeth clenching, and teeth grinding. There are many signs and symptoms of TMJ or TMD that patients can experience, so it is best to be proactive when symptoms occur. A few common signs of a jaw disorder can include:

  • Ringing in the ears
  • Jaw pain
  • Ear pain
  • Head, neck, and shoulder aches
  • Muscle soreness or tiredness in and around the jaw
  • Trouble or pain when biting, chewing, or opening your mouth
  • Clicking or popping sound when opening and closing the mouth
